    Hi,

I’m finishing post on a feature doc…cut the rough using the DV masters. Created a new 8 bit D1 Sequence and copied DV timeline into it. Recently recaptured all the SOTs from Beta SP through my Kona LH and replaced all the DV clips with the newly captured 8 Bit Uncomp. material. It worked EXCEPT now I have to nudge every replaced clip up one frame for the 720×486 Sequence.

Any way to do this and avoid the time consuming “Frame Shift” process?

    Thanks!
    Jeff

Yes. Media manage to an 8 or 10 bit D1 sequence and recapture. The Kona will take care of the nudge. For a rough guide on how to do this, see here:

You guys are saying timecode isn’t really absolute? It’s relative? Timecode depends on the capture source?
Aw, crap. I shall remember this but I’ve got to recant a couple hundred posts.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Good point. I am assuming you have your timecode correct.
