Dulce Systems Raid problem
I have a DQ 4000 and a PCI Express dual eSATA card.
The card started beeping and then started beeping rapidly and the drive is no longer mounting on my 2009 Mac Pro running 10.11.8 I did not make any changes to the computer and the lights on the drive itself are all white or green.
Dulce systems seems to have gone out of business so there is no official support, website is down and no phones.
Can I just replace the card or is it special in some way?

Dulce Systems only used Areca RAID host adaptor cards –
https://www.areca.com.twyour beeping is because you have a failed drive. You must launch the MRAID Utility from Areca to be able to see the user interface. This will let you turn off the horrible loud beeper, and determine which drive has failed.
I have no idea of which system you have –
if its setup RAID 5, you can have one drive fail before you lose all your data. If it’s setup RAID 6 you can have two drives fail, before you lose all your data. If you are RAID 5, and you have 2 dead drives, you are screwed.There is nothing wrong with the card in your system. You have a failed drive in your RAID array.

When I replace the drive, do I need to format it first? If so should I use journaled since it is a Mac?
Will it start rebuilding itself or will i need to take additional action?

I also Have a new problem, the Mac can not see the raid card. When I try to access the user interface using MRAID at 10.0.0.89 “site can not be reached”
I was able to click on the card icon before and see each drive status and turn off the alarm.
