ducker
Posted by John Culleton on June 5, 2007 at 11:49 ami’ve tried the ducker in VASST’s S3 but it ducks the music track permanently, could be a limitation as it’s a trial i suppose
but are there any alternatives for Vegas, maybe a script? how about PPM plugins too?John Culleton replied 18 years, 11 months ago 3 Members · 7 Replies -

June 5, 2007 at 12:31 pmI have no ideas about a ducker but there’s a PPM meter as part of the Blue Cat’s Freeware Plugins Pack.
Be sure to read and follow the Using DXi plug-ins in Sony Vegas tutorial. From their site:
This tutorial will teach you how to use any DXi plug-in in Sony Vegas. Sony Vegas does not support MIDI automation, so if your plug-in supports the MIDI Dxi protocol, it is removed from the plug-ins list, and you cannot use it! -

But remember that scripts cannot see audio levels so if some tool like the Blue Cat tool is not used, the “silent” areas must be deleted from the timeline.
There’s a demo video of the Voice Over tool at http://www.jetdv.com/excalibur

June 5, 2007 at 7:39 pmtook a while but i’m there, thx all this will save me HOURS… last show (2 hours) took six hours to mix FX and VO, this script will probably do it while i make cuppa tea, probably don’t always need the Blue Cat envelope as the vo’s will be cut, great script!!!
