Ok, so we’re coming up on a bit of sticky project. The work flow we’d like to use, is to have 2 cameras (one on close, one wide), recording directly to server where the editors can begin working as soon as a couple takes are done.

Our machines are equipped with AJA KONA LHi, which I don’t believe supports dual stream even with a second card.

We’re also using FCP which I know for a fact can’t record 2 streams.

If anyone has any suggestions on hardware/software that can make this happen, I’d greatly appreciate it.

you could add a switcher into the mix and take the switcher’s master out into the LHI..That would solve your problem of multiple streams. Record Iso on each camera in case you need to go in later on and clean up any bad switches.
