Now that Motion (and FCPX) support multiple video cards, does anyone have experience running a 2009-2012 Mac Pro with 2 DIFFERENT model video cards? Example, I have the stock Radeon 5770 in my 2010 Mac Pro, will adding a second card — either a Radeon 7950 Mac Edition or a GeForce 770 (PC card used just as an engine for Motion and FCPX) give me any benefit? Would the apps only work with my primary card (the 5770)? Would the combination of different card models and even different GPU makes cause a problem?

In case anyone else had the same question, I got an answer from Rob-ART Morgan of Bare Feats that FCPX and Motion ignore the 2nd GPU if it is not identical to the first. And it looks like Apple have stopped selling the aftermarket Radeon 5770 so running a pair of those (which it seems does improve performance quite a bit) is unlikely.
