Is there a way to configure Premiere so the dialog boxes won’t appear in between both screens? It’s killing me. Thanks.

If you drag the popup to one of the screens, it should open in the new location from that point onward. I use multiple screens and seldom see this issue anymore.

I too would like to solve this, moving the pop up to the centre of a screen does not work for me. I am using a MAC, not sure if or why that might make a difference in my case. It would be interesting to know what systems people are on.

No it’s not working. I move the windows each time and they come back in the center each time.

Anybody else can help please? It’s driving me nuts!

I work on a Mac too (OSX 10.8.3). When working with FCP7 if you moved a popup screen it would reappear where you moved it the next time. But this is not happening in Premiere CS6.

Have you just dragged the whole program window to fill both of the screens? Because that might be causing this.

Hummm it certainly looks that way. What would be the proper way to fill both screens then? Thanks.

Thanks you Tero! You were right. I had the whole program window extended. I put it back on the left screen and then only drag the individual windows I want in the right screen (Timeline, program, etc)

    Thanks again.

Glad to help. You can save pretty much customize the panel layout however you want to multiple monitors and save the work space when you are comfortable with it.
