When I edit within FCP, my stereo audio tracks always come up as dual mono, and I have to re-pan them to L and R. Is there a way to not have to do this? Is there something I should do when importing to make it a linked stereo track?

    Thanks!

You can use Option-L to make a stereo pair in your timeline.

To set FCP to do this on capture, go to your capture dialog and select the Clip Settings tab. Then click on the Toggle Stereo/Mono icon next to the audio meters.
