Make sure your source patching is enabled for both channels 1 & 2. A1 & A2 need to be active (blue) to see both channels when you do a insert or overwrite.

    hmmm…

it may to do with how PPro is interpreting the source…

prioir to using a clip on the timeline….if you right click on the clip in the project panel

    choose modify>audio channels

this can let you deal with a stereo pair as dual mono…

so then when you load it into the source viewer you will see in the timeline that you have both tracks available for patching…

note though… in terms of applying effects in the timeline…this still might behave the way you expect…

    hth…

Try toggle all sources to allow all audio to turn blue, then toggle off 3 & 4 before selecting your insert.

    Hi John,
This is not about your question but since you are used to working in dual mono maybe you can help with mine.

For no good reason, I have a sequence with 100+ clips recorded in stereo that were all brought in as dual mono tracks.
It seems not possible to combine these tracks into stereo now that they’re already edited in the timeline.
But I want to edit them with:
    overlapping edits
    cross dissolves
    level changes
    some equalization and effects

Are there streamlined ways of doing these?
Or do I have to perform each operation on one of the dual mono tracks and then mimic or paste an effect on the other?

Prepared to work in either PPro (using 7.2.2) or Audition.

    Thanks for any help.
    Robert
