  dual mono – audio meter flat stereo mix

  Hi all,
  my audio meter is showing a mixed – “flat, (equal) and centered” metering in stereo, even though I have 2 mono tracks that are very different in intensity (levels).
  What can I do to get the audio meter and premiere to show them both at their correct levels as dual mono, (right and left) and also have the audio output as right and left?

  Using Premiere Pro 6 on a mac.
