I am running premiere pro cs3 and recently purchased a second monitor so i could run dual displays. I have my main monitor hooked up to the dvi port and the new secondary one hooked up to the vga port. What i want to do is make premiere use the secondary monitor as a full screen preview monitor. I set up the monitor with my nvidia software so that it plays back my video full screen. This works when i play back something from a media player but it doesnt work when i am in premiere. Is there something i need to do in premiere to get it to play back the time line full screen on my secondary monitor? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You probably need to set monitor 2 as your external preview by going into Playback settings.
You can get there by clicking in the top right triangle of the program monitor.
So long as overlay mode is set your monitor should be available.

Using Windows XP and CS3? “Disconnect” the Monitor panel from the main workspace, slide it over to your second monitor, drag it to fill the screen.
I presume you have video card software, or the windows> Properties>Settings set to “Extend Desktop” to run two monitors.
I have the same configuration using Nvidia 8600 with LCD from DVI and second monitor as CRT as analog.
