Does anybody know of any software that will do this? I’m using a G4 with a recently-installed Pioneer dual-layer DVD drive annd Toast version 6.
Tried posting this in the DVD Authoring forum, but got no responses.

    Thanks,

    John

We are using DVD Studio Pro ver. 3 and have done several dual layer discs.

You may need to upgrade Toast. I’m using version 6.0.7 and I’ve been buring dual layers for awhile. If I remember correctly, I had to upgrade to get my Sony burner to work properly with my G4.

You may want to make sure you have the latest firmware installed for that burner. Does your system see the burner? If not, you may need to install patchburn (do a google search). I burn DL discs out of DVDSP3 and with Toast 6 on my G4. You might want to make sure you’re running the latest version of Toast 6 as well. I have found that DL media is critical. I’ve had very consistent results with Verbatim ink jet printable DL media and bad results with RiData media. Test your workflow thoroughly before buying a large quantity of media. You have to have the right media for your software and burner – once you find a combination that works, stick with it.
