I need to use FCP 5.1.2 which requires OS 10.4.8

I also need to use Avid Xpress 4.6 which requires 10.4.6

I have already partitioned my hard drive, with 10.4.8 running on my boot drive. So I cannot use Avid Xpress at this moment.

In order to run 10.4.6, is it just a case of reinstalling the OS onto my second partitioned? If so, can I just request which OS I boot up in when I turn the computer on? (G5 Quad)

Seems logical enough to me, but I’ve never done this before (and I’ve made plenty of wrong assumptions in the past!)

    Thanks for any input

once the OS is installed on each partition, all you have to do is hold down the option key when you turn the computer on and you can pick which one to boot into.
