Hi….I’ve been reading around and need to tie up some questions.

Firstly I am on XP SP3. Been hearing good things about Win7 64bit and I like that idea if for no other reason than the additional colour gamut.

As i have read, Win 7 has the ability to include xp within, as opposed to a separate boot right? So my quetion is – is it better to have two separate boot drives – xp and win7 or use the win7 with the xp emulation inside.
Just grappling with this subject. Thx

[Geoffrey Mee] “Been hearing good things about Win7 64bit and I like that idea if for no other reason than the additional colour gamut.”

What does this mean? The OS has nothing to do with the colors used by Vegas. Vegas can do 8-bit or 32-bit color on XP and it can do 8-bit or 32-bit color on Win7-64.

However, you will gain the advantage of being able to run the 64-bit version of Vegas which has some advantages and some disadvantages over the 32-bit version. But color depth is not one of them.

Ah right!….see, that’s why I’m in Vegas Basic’s – learning from the bottom up.

So what do you think of the idea of a dual boot Edward and do you have any advice on how best to set it up.
    Thx
