Abandoning my Canon XM2, I have re-hired a DSR450 to download the rushes shot on this camera. Total disaster!! No sound, scene changes ignored and no control over the 450 so cannot perform log and capture. Went over to I-movie: sounds fine, scene changes neatly logged as separate clips, but original timecode stripped and the system cannot recognise widescreen!
    Help!
What am I doing wrong now?
    Please?

I thought the Canons shot in a proprietary codec that can only be digitized correctly off Canon cameras.
