I have been editing for years, but I think this is a newbie question.

For family clips, I just want a way to quickly view the clips seamlessly, that is, with no pauses for freeze-frames between clips.

My clips are large and shot with a CANON 60D. I create a Blu-Ray iso file and view them on on my TV with an eGreat media player.

My workflow takes too long and involves too many steps.

Here is how I do it.

    • Import the clips into Avid and create a quick sequence
    • Export the sequence to a Quicktime Reference file
    • Transcode using Sorenson Squeeze using a Blu-Ray setting
    • Import that file into Adobe Encore and create an .iso file

This workflow creates a single high quality clip that is not too big to cause the media player to choke.

Is there an easier way to do this? The media player can play any type of file, but the processor is not fast enough to even play a raw camera file without pausing sometimes.

If no editing is required, why not render/export the whole sequence into a single MP4. In Adobe Premiere Elements, I’d just drag and drop all of the files onto a single timeline with no gaps.

I don’t have Premier Elements, but I do have Premier Pro CS3.
    I will give it a try….
