This Youtube video suggests that [at least for the DSLR in question, i.e. Canon EOS 80D] sharpening in post using Adobe Premiere is more efficient than the on-camera standard sharpening.

I reckon the video sharpness is indeed very good in the demo, and I wonder if BCC 10 Magic Sharp is as good (or better????) than Premiere sharpening, without introducing too many artefacts (moiré, edges overshoot, etc…).

I have a similar camera and would like to poll this audience before taking some time to test by myself…

Sorry for the delayed response. Our product managers are looking at how Boris Continuum Magic Sharp compares with Adobe Premiere built in tool. I expect it to be much better quality because I know the it is far better than any sharpening currently available in After Effects. But we never tried one in Premiere.

    Thanks
Actually I’m asking because I’m editing with Avid Media Composer (with BCC), not Premiere, and wonder if I could achieve similar (or better) results than the video in ref in my first post (which uses Premiere).
