January 4, 2011 at 9:51 pmThe Sony NEX-VG10 is the closest thing your going to find. I think I heard that they are going to release an update early this year.

January 4, 2011 at 10:08 pmThere is no such thing as insider info, just rumors. Until the manufacture announces something we have no real idea what is going to happen.
The AF100 is the camera that addresses most of the short comings of DSLR but you jump to a 5K price tag.

January 4, 2011 at 11:49 pmI feel ya on this one. I use an Zoom H4 (I think its discontinued and replaced by the H4n). I Record on that but also feed into the DSLR. Theres a headphone out on there and the audio quality is amazing. I have seen some other rigs out there and in the end they are basically doing the same thing. I guess you can call it a work around.

January 5, 2011 at 7:04 amHi Richard: Which model Nikon DSLR has a headphone jack? Does it output live audio in both preview mode and while the camera is recording video?
I tried to find to find answers on Nikon’s website, but didn’t see it. (Can I download a Nikon DSLR user manual from their website if I don’t already own one of their cameras, or maybe their manuals are available somewhere else?)
Thanks for further info.

December 13, 2012 at 2:14 amThere are far less DSLR’s with headphone jacks then there are with headphone jacks. For me as a video guy, I constantly monitor the audio with good headphones when shooting video. I don’t know why they make camera’s without headphone jacks. I mean, how much does that actually add to the cost of the camera?
I want to make a list of all of the DSLR cameras that have headphone jacks. Please add to this list as it will be very valuable to anyone looking to buy a DSLR with headphone jack.
So far I know of….
Nikon D800 around $3000
Nikon D4 around $4500Anyone know of any manufacturers, models, etc?

January 22, 2013 at 10:11 pmPanasonic gh2/3; Canon 5DIII, or you can hack a cable and run MagicLantern and get audio out of the USB/AV port on canon cameras. I have a 60d and ML with the AV cable, supplied by Canon, I have audio out for FREE. Well almost free, I had to buy an RCA to 3.5mm adapter at radio shack.
