  • Dropping frames when previewing on monitor by firewire.

    Hi.

I just received the FCS 2 yesterday and was working with a project at home last night.

When I took my macbook pro to work and hooked it up with a sony DV recorder, trying to preview on a monitor, all of sudden it startet dropping frames as if I were working on an Ibook G3 or worse..

I tried changing all of the RT rendering and preview options, but no luck..
When I turned off previewing by Apple firewire DV pal, and just previewed on my screen, it worked great! No problems at all.

This is a standard project basic video and some text.

I’ve checked for updates, but it looks as if I have all the latest downloads installed.

I have the same problem monitoring via firewire using JVC dv deck. No problems when I used FCP 5.
