If you are filming in real time and then speeding it up, frames HAVE to be dropped.
Frames per second is a constant in your video project. If you want to fit 100 frames inside 1 sec of a 30fps project, then 70 frames are going to need to be dropped. Every NLE works this way.

PS: I wouldn’t call shooting in real time, “saving time” because it won’t. Your original file is going to be extremely large compared to what you finally use. The best way to shoot timelapse is to use a camera that can shoot a single frame on a set timer if possible. One frame every second or minute or whatever. Then you have an already sped up clip that you can further speed up or leave as is in post.
