dropped frames on mouse or stylus movement
We have a 2 year old G5 dual 1.8 mac running FCP 5.1.4. Everything has been running well until last week when we started experiencing dropped frames when playing down the timeline.
Today we re-installed the software. After the software updates we are using OSX 10.4.9 and Quicktime 7.1.6.
At this point, the timeline plays down until the mouse or stylus is moved. Playback then stops and a dropped frame error message is displayed.
Your help would be appreciated.

I only remember that this was a problem that was fixed in 5.1.2 (i think)
Did you updated FCP back to 5.1.4 as well as the other software?
if yes maybe check for driver updates for your wacom? -
Yes, I have updated all the software and the Wacom drivers.
