I am sending 10 bit uncompressed 1080i 29.97 4:2:2 footage from Final Cut to Color.

In Color I add a grade and then export out the quicktime. When I play back in quicktime after about 2 seconds the footage freezes on a frame, and doesn’t play anymore. I noticed that Color added AJA Kona 2Vuy Codec. That codec was not originally on my footage.

What can I do to get rid of that codec? Or get quicktime to playback? Any ideas?

    thanks!

GO to back to color and make sure your output is set to 10bit uncompressed and not the Kona codec. You will have to rerender in Color.

Or to make it easy, use the Kona codec as your sequence codec.
