  Dropped Frames During Digitizing & Logging

  Hi everyone. The audio and picture keeps dropping out and artifacting while I’m viewing footage from the deck and while capturing. The same errors appear in digitized footage and I have checked the tape and the errors do not exist there. I believe the problem appears in the communication between the deck and the program. My technical specs are :

  PowerMac G5 w/ Dual 2 Ghz
  2.5 GB DDR SDRAM
  1Ghz Bus

  OSX 10.4.7
  Avid Xpress Pro 5.6.2

  Panasonic AG-DVX100A via FW 1394

  Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing that my boss is sitting right next to me.
