April 25, 2005 at 6:49 amDropped Frames occur when your computer and hard-disk can’t keep up with the data stream from the DV deck or camera.
The most frequent cause is trying to capture DV to your “C” drive. I don’t use the Vegas Capture because I’ve always used Scenalyzer Live even before using Vegas, so I stick with what I know. Scenalyzer has a free demo download and it includes a disk write speed test.
Some people with marginal systems have had better luck using Scenalyzer for their capture.

April 30, 2005 at 3:52 pmHi thanks for your message. that is right i download to my c drive. i just bought a dvd burner and i think it has nero with it. sorry i haven’t had time to set it up. does will i be able to download my movie with this program. note: i noticed that i drop frames mor when i hit any keys on my lap top. Thanks again, John
