Dropped Frames :(
Last night I was filming a show with my Panasonic HPX 170… I was running the camera into my macbook and using capture now in FCP. Half way through the concert I encountered dropped frames. I knew this would be an issue but always thought that it saved the previous content up until the dropped frames. I can’t find it anywhere on my hard drive… Is this the final verdict? Anything I can do to get the footage back up until the dropped frames?

No. If you use Capture Now and the system drops frames, you lose everything in that clip. FCP has to finish the capture in order for the clip to be valid.
