Posted by Tim Baker on July 11, 2005 at 2:39 pm

I just upgraded to Final Cut Studio after upgrading to Tiger.

I am now getting the danged, old “Dropped frames Warning” after about 1 sec of playback of 1080i footage that prior to the upgrade played back fine…yesterday in fact.

Any suggestions on what could be wrong here?

    Thanks,

Did you update Tiger and Quicktime prior to the FCP install?

Did you update whatever hardware card you’re running for Tiger / FCP 5?

Ensure that your Canvas is set to “Fit to Window.”

Yes…I upgraded to Tiger prior to FCP upgrade.

No I had not upgraded my Kona items…I have the Kona I/o LA and the Kona 2 with the Kbox.

I am doing the Mac auto updates right now hoping that will help, as well…I will check my Canvas setting as soon as the updates are done.

    Thanks,

You need to get the latest drivers for both.

What kind of drives are you using? Did you update your controller card?
