Has anyone else had any problems with dropped audio? When capturing I have noticed there are little (one or two frames) of blank audio on both channels (on a dual channel setup). I dont get any dropped video.

The strange thing is the gaps don’t appear to be on the origional tape, and if I recapture the gaps will sometimes appear in different places (I fixed one important piece by scanning it in multiple times, and filling in the missing bits with the 2nd or 3rd copy.

I have 2 cameras, and 2 computers, and have tried every combination of cam/computer, and it happens on both. The problem seems to origionate on the origional AVI file, and not in the conform process…

    Any suggestions?

Can you actually see the gap in the waveform on the timeline?

From your description it sounds like there is a issue with the camera you are capturing with. Run a head cleaner through it and see if it improves.
