  • Dropped Audio during export/fragment question

I’m working on an hour long project with lots of little effects, muliple audio tracks, all kinds of tweaks and stuff…and I need to send it by the producer for approval but everytime I export it to a quicktime, bits of audio and some of the stills drop out. I’ve tried rendering the stills into video clips and then importing them, but it’s still having problems, even when I select recompress.

I want to try defragmenting my drives, but I’m a windows guy and I’m having a hell of a time getting somebody to show me how you’re supposed to do that on a Mac.

Try exporting a self contained QuickTime movie useing “current settings”… give him that, or then use Compressor to deliver a smaller file with, using the Sorenson 3 codec on the video clip in compressor.

I ended up exporting it from my backup drive, and it worked. Another thing that was messing me up was the fact that I dont have air conditioning and the processor is overheating during the daytime. Hopefully they get that liquid cooling system worked out soon.
