I have another newbie style question that I can’t figure out or find the answer to anywhere.

I have created the following graphic (which is almost a miracle for me!)

    https://youtu.be/DdxUnOKC-C0?t=19s – from 19s

It is perfectly fine apart from the drop shadow of the letters, which I want to be black to match the rest of the text in the video. I understand after reading that the drop shadow takes the properties from the layer below, which in this case is the solid layer that is the same colour as the text, so I can make it ‘disappear’.

Could anyone help me with getting a black drop shadow on these letters rather than a blue and white one?

I have messed around and totally by accident found the simplest workaround.

You click layer and then layer style>drop shadow when on the solid layer. I was about to solve it another way, but this just happened by lucky accident.

I have had a weekend of After Effects learning and when you solve things (even with help from you guys on my other post) it is a wonderful feeling.

I think I may be addicted.
