Is there anything to do to avoid dropped frames. I batch captured all of my clips and the majority have come through fine but a few of the longer clips, when they are played back, and not sych sound. The frame freezes and the sound continues. Will cleaning the deck help? Is there a preference I should check? Import the sound in a different way (stereo, mono)? I have never run into this problem before so I am baffled. The tape plays back perfectly until I capture it. Thanks.

    What deck are you using?

What hard drives are you digitizing to?

I’m with ya brother … I’ve had the same problems with Final Cut Express HD. Is this something that’s an inherent and widespread problem with FC? I was told by a “genius bar” rep that it is, but not a problem with iMovie. I tried capturing the same “problem” clips with iMovie and sure enough, no problems.

I am having my deck cleaned to see if that is the problem and I will report back to see if that helps. Thanks for the tip.
