Drop Frame aborts capture
Greetings all…
wanted to know if someone could help pinpoint this problem. every so often I’ve encountered aborted batch capture in FCP 4.5 (G5 dual 2 gig proc, 2 gig memory, OS 10.3.7) and the external drive has plenty of room. Sometimes it captures to the specified drive, sometimes not. When it doesn’t, I’ll name a different capture disk and, hey, it works. Let me know your thoughts as I try to work this out.

What are your drive names? FCP doesn’t like similarly named drives such as Drive1, Drive2, Drive3 etc… A better naming system is something like Homer, Bart, Maggie, etc…
