driver for Duel Adapter
Posted by Nelson May on August 20, 2009 at 5:46 pmI have an early 2009 MBP intel, 10.5 with FCP 6. I am a little confused about the driver I need for the adapter. Can someone give me a direct link. I am just reading a p2 card, not AV Intra etc.
Cheers.

August 20, 2009 at 6:13 pmWith Leopard the driver isn’t needed. If fact, I hear it could cause problems. That is the driver for the DUEL ADAPTER…that isn’t needed. If you are working with AVCIntra, you need the drivers from panasonic for that.

August 20, 2009 at 6:19 pmI am hurt, I just bough this thing. It will show the that I have the adapter plugged in, but I can’t see the P2 card mount on the desktop. Let me go into FCP and see if it sees it.

August 20, 2009 at 6:38 pmI am a way total dork! I am too busy to stop and look at the pixels in the flowers. I just migrated over to the MPB and since I was still using my G4 to ingest cards, I forgot to add the P2 driver for MAC onto the MPB.
All is forgiven and I am happy.

August 20, 2009 at 7:58 pmSo it’s working now? I’ve never been able to get my p2 cards to show up. What driver did you install? I thought I installed the driver and gave up because I still can’t get it to work. Maybe I installed the wrong driver.

August 21, 2009 at 2:05 amShane, I don’t know is it me, or just that this is so confusing.
How you do you explain what’s written on the bottom of the page for Mac downloads;
“No Need the following driver for Mac…” then is the chart … “USB : No need driver
1394a: No need driver” and pointing to HPX170 series!?Which driver is not needed?
Does it mean, for HPX 170 owners, we don’t need to install USB Driver and 1394 Driver,
but we do need to install other drivers from the package (PCI Express Driver, Card Bus Driver, P2 Store Manager and P2 Card Formatter)?It’s frustrating that we are seeing so many questions on these topics, something
that should be so straightforward. I haven’t seen these many questions for any other
format or any other supplier. Shame on Panasonic.Mio
