    Hi All

I need to copy 20 gig of quicktime video files onto my Mac from a NTSF windows formatted drive.

When connect the drive to the mac,the mac displays a message saying disk inserted is not recognized.

Is there a software I could use the would enable the mac to read this drive.

If not what is the best way of copying the files onto the mac fromthis drive.

    Thank You

    Zee.

There is a post below that talks about a new product; MacDrive 6. I haven’t used it but it sounds like it might solve your problem. It allows a Mac formatted drive to be mounted on a Windows PC system. Might be worth a look.

Tom has things just a bit reversed. MacDrive works in the opposite direction, allowing a PC to read a MAC formated drive. The only way to get the files into the MAC from your NTSF formated drive is either to reformat that drive as FAT32 before putting the files on it, or to transfer the files over a network.

    Oops. My bad.
I hadn’t had my coffee yet so my eyes weren’t fully open when I read the post.
    Sorry about that, chief.
