Drive letters vs. Server paths
Four different computers have the same server folder (serverads for example) mapped to four different drive letters: F on one computer, G on another, X on a third and Z on the last, for example.
In previous versions of InDesign, if one person created a file with links in the ADS folder (mapped to G) and another artist opened up the file, the link wouldn’t be reported as missing or broken because it would point to the server path (serverads) not the drive letter.
Since we’ve updated to CS5.5, links are missing all over the place because they’re pointing to drive letters, not server paths!
Any ideas?
