Drawing with a pen on a transparent layer?
Is there a way to use pen paths that are stroked on a transparent layer? Seems you can only put them on a solid…but then you can`t see through the solid. How would you draw lets say a heart and stroke it, then independently animate it flying around over another animation in the composition.

I’m assuming you’re either usinf Stroke or 3D Stroke to animate the mask. Stroke offers ‘On original’ or ‘On transparent’ options so that you’ll be able to see through them. I think 3D Stroke also offers the same…
