drawing in after effects
I got an assignment to create a continuous line animation where pencil drawn line shapes emerge and flow back into the line. In Flash this is easy because of the spline based drawing tools and the ease of joining lines. However, in After Effects vectors are a little clunky for this effect. I can do it in Flash and export as a png sequence but then there are the compositing and design matching issuse with other layers. Any one know a total AE solution? (anyone know if there are going to be better drawing tools in AE 7?)

export an image sequence out of flash and import into ae.
