  • Dragging Out Marker Durations on Clips?

Posted by Alex Kuzelicki on January 23, 2015 at 2:50 pm

    Hey,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to manually drag out the Marker durations when you’ve added a Marker to a Clip?

When you add a Marker to the Timeline it’s easy to grab its handles and drag it out as much as you like but when you add a Marker to an individual clip, you can’t manually access those same handles. You end up just selecting the clip. Would love to know if there’s a way to get at them?

PS – I know you can go into the Marker’s settings box to do this but I’d like to be able to quickly do it by hand, as you can in the Timeline.

    Thanks in advance,

    ALEX

if your playhead is still at the out point…then your pointer has to be above the top of the play head to grab the out point marker…

    Open clip in Source monitor.
Add marker (M) then click on marker while holding down ALT.

    Hey Ann,

Thanks for the suggestion, only I want to drag out the markers on the actual clips (sitting on the timeline)- the same way you can drag out the handles for a marker along the top of the timeline.

There must be a way. 🙂

    Appreciated though.

    Cheers,

    ALEX
