Dragging In FCP

We can’t see your computer. In what way are you unable to drag? The mouse won’t let you grab the clip? The mouse won’t move? The clip moves in the window? What’s happening, anything, nothing?

Typically when you would drag the clip a track would highlight and you would drop it into that track. Additionally you could drag over to the canvas viewer and the options to overwrite, insert, etc. would pop up. Now when I clip and drag I’m essentially editing the motion parameters of that clip in the viewer. Does that further explain?

So the clip moves when you drag it. Sounds like someone’s pressed the W to turn on Image+Wireframe. This should really never be done in the viewer.
