i’m baffled, maybe i’m overlooking something simple. all my fcp life i’ve done this:

drag clips from the bin into a timeline. They land neatly in whatever order i select, clip name, in point, out point, media start.

Now they drop into the timeline in random order. no logic!

has anyone else experienced this? does anyone know why?

    thanks

No, yesterday I did that., I draged a bunch of clips that were in numeric order, from the Brownser to the time-line. Fine. all in the correct order.
    I’m running FC 6.0.1 and QT 7.2.
