    Hey guys,

Just a quick one here. When I drag a clip to the timeline, is there a way to get rid of the preset that automatically moves ALL the clips to the right. It seems pretty annoying and I cant work out how to stop this function. 9 times out of 10 its just a hinderance.

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

If you’re cursor is in the upper half of the track when you let go of the clip, it will insert edit. If the cursor is in the bottom half, it will overwrite edit (and not push the other clips to the right). You can tell if you’re in the right area because the arrow will either point to the right, or point down.
