I got some DPX-files from the VFX-department and when I
import these they appear very wihte, almost overexposed, like the exposure is pushed very far.

They did send them to me as 709-files. Is
this correct? Is the color space wrong, can I change the input-settings or is it set as anything default?

Hi Stig, sounds like LOG footage to me, if it is, you will need some sort of LUT to grade it.

First import them with no luts applied and then play with the lut settings. If you have quicktime 7 open that and point to your dpx sequence and tell it to open as an image sequence and see what they look like there just to make sure they actually do have an image.
