When i render DPX’s out from color and import them to final cut, the gamma changes.
It is darker in final cut.
I have compared the rendered DPX’s to color’s output, and these are identical both visual and on external scopes, so the dpx’s is perfectly ok.

I have fiddled around with the settings for GlueTools, but haven’t been able to find the setting that made the frame identical, and also random values is not the way to do it.

Render QT’s from color is not an option, because it also changes the picture. Not much, but enough to see quite radical changes on the scopes, and i have tried all the format available in itunes.

I have also tried to convert the dpx’s to QT’s with Aja’s DPXtoQT converter. In this case the QT looks fine untill i render it. Then the gamma changes again.

I hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance!

    OK
this is the Quicktime Gamma bug- you are jumping from RGB to YUV for processing in FCP and it does not like it.

you can search on here for answers, there are a couple of thousand posts that discuss this. Your issue has a lot to do with which hardware and software versions you are running- newer is better when dealing with this issue.
