Downloading Youtube videos for FCPX?

June 12, 2013 at 9:42 pmThere is a Safari extension called ClickToFlash/ClickToPlugin that will do what you want. Once it’s installed, you just right click the HTML5 player and choose “Download Video.”

June 12, 2013 at 9:49 pmI’ve been using this app for months, works great and it gives you all the possible codecs and framesizes… and it’s free. Then I use Mpeg Streamclip to convert from H264 to Apple ProRes 422 to edit in FCP7 (but that step is not necessary in FCPx).
