I have a lot of dvd’s created from videotapes on a sony dvd-vtr, vtr-dvd recorder. If I want to bring them into Vegas 9 I have to do it from the dvd in the cd drive. That is not satisfactory because at later time when I return to the same project I have to dig up the dvd and put it in the dvd player to get to the events. On the other hand I have not found the way to down load the disk in a form that vegas knows. When opening in Vegas it keeps looking at the dvd player for the files. In Win XP I could open the chapters on the disk and download them as vob (mpg) I have not found out how to do that in Windows 7. I am pretty sure that is possible.
what is the best way to download the disk so I can keep the files on a hard disk that vegas recognizes.I’m still looking for the place to upgrade to vegas 10

Yes I should have known as I’ve done it dozens of times. But I got lost and could not find what I wanted. Now what causes this form Some command somewhere I’d like to get rid of it.
