I want to downconvert some animated backgrounds that are currently at 1920 x 1080 to fit within my DVCPRO HD 720Pn footage. Does anyone have any advice regarding which settings/format to export/downconvert the background from within FCP to retain its quality so I can reimport it at the smaller size?

    Thanks.

Load the clips in compressor, and choose the preset for this found in the “Advanced Format Conversions” folder in Compressor. There’s an HD folder which contains 720p24 in it…
