Downconverted Z1 footage has bands running through picture on DVD…..
Right now because I used the Adobe “fix” for Premeire Pro’s media encoder, the only way I have to get video into encore is to export as MS DV AVI from the timeline then dump that into encore. For some reason the DVD that encore is putting out has horrible horizontal bars running through any motion in the video….when the shot is still…no bars. The AVI file looks fine in media player, and playback from encore’s preview looks OK, so I have to assume something is happening in encore when burning the disc. This is downconverted footage from a Z1. I don’t have this problem using footage captured from my PD 150’s.
