Downconvert XDCAM EX to DVCPRO HD
We’re delivering a show in DVCPROHD (1280X1080)1080i 29.97 and just received some raw footage in XDCAM EX (1920X1080) 1080p30. What’s the cleanest route (not terranex) we can do in house to convert this footage(FCP/Compressor/After Effects?). It will be combined with DVCPROHD 1080i 29.97 footage on like timeline in FCP 6.0.5 This is posted in XD CAM forum as well. Many thanks for your knowledge!

Rip a clip thru compressor using the advanced format conversion preset and then compare it to the source XDCAM clip in FCP on a good external monitor. You won’t see much difference.
We do it all the time.
