downconvert to SD flickering?
Been playing with our new XD 422 HDCAM and am noticing when i do a downconvert to SD the picture flickers. Even when there is no camera movement or anything actually moving in shot there is a flicker or jitter if u like… as things move thru shot they get worse.
It was shot 108050i and making into a 25i project.
it looks like like field order but I am doubting that as I have read ( I think!) that this is a common phenomenon with downconverts?
Anyone have any ideas? I am new to HD world!

How is the down convert being done?

Hi,
We bring in the proxy files then batch import to HD resolution then in the format tab change it to 25i.
Is there a better way???

You just changed the project settings (1080i – 25i), not the nature of the clip.
Try transcoding clips to SD resolution. Highlight the clips in your bin, right-click then transcode.
