downconvert hd to sd with colored letterboxing.
ok, so i’ve got a project coming up shot on hdcam. the distibution for broadcast will be by dbeta. so here’s my question: is it possible to online in hd (16:9) then output to 4:3 and have control over the color of the letterboxing. I can’t think of any proper way to do it so any insights would be very helpful.

I don’t think that’s a possibility. Drop your finished HD Quicktime over a white/blue/green/puce NTSC frame, and resize it to fit.
