    I’ve done a downconversion test and have some results.

    I have footage at 1080p and done the digibeta copy using the realtime BM downconversion, i then used AfterEffects for downconversion with “reduce interlace flicker” at amount “1” and also copied it to DigiBeta

    I captured the two clips on SD timeline and exported still pictures, opened them as photoshop layers and voila…

    The Aftereffects result is much higher in resolution
    The BMD is too soft

    Maybe Decklink uses too much of flicker reduction.
    I have the pictures and i’ll be sending them to BMD guys.
