I am working in PAL and I am inserting a shot filmed in HD720p50 into a DVCPRO50 timeline.
The quality is great if I import the HD 720p50 directly into the SD DVCPRO50 timeline and render it, but if I export a Quicktime clip from HD 720p50 compressed to SD DVCPRO50 PAL and import that, it is pixelated.
Is this correct or am I doing it wrong?

You haven’t told us how you did the exported. Did you use QT Conversion, Compressor, or what?
